Westworld

Roger Roeper & Dick Ebert & Gene Lyons host a weekly podcast covering Westworld the hit science fiction thriller television series created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy for HBO, based on the 1973 film of the same name, which was written and directed by American novelist Michael Crichton. Nolan serves as executive producer along with Joy, J. J. Abrams and Bryan Burk with Nolan directing the pilot. The series premiered October 2, 2016.

Described as "a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin," the series tells the story of a futuristic theme park called Westworld.

A spot of horror, a significant slice of backstory (hey, Arnold!) and a few choice Alice in Wonderland references helped make the third episode of HBO's Westworld the most satisfying yet. We’re three episodes in and the storylines of Westworld are denser than the layers of rock Mesa Hub is built into.

Rog and Big D attempt to unravel the mystery surrounding Dr. Ford's relationship with his old partner, Arnold, while avoiding falling into never-ending theory rabbit holes.

Gene didn't make it back from Los Angeles in time for the cast but will rejoin the Shat On TV posse for a new segment called the #WestworldTelegraph later this week.
